Line Changes in Brown Canon, Colorado

Between January 1 and December 31 this year there will have been laid on the main line 132 miles of 90-lb. and 100-lb. rail.
A total of 62 miles of slag ballasting in Colorado and 28 miles of gravel ballasting in Utah will be completed by November 30.

INSTALLATION OF AUTOMATIC SIGNALS

Automatic signals are being installed between Minturn and Palisade, Colorado, a distance of 135 miles, of which 102 miles are now completed and in operation.

NEW LOCOMOTIVES AND CARS

Ten new Mallet locomotives, each weighing 974,000 pounds, with a tractive effort of 125,000 pounds, were delivered in August.
Ten new standard gauge cabooses have been built at the Denver & Rio Grande Western's shops at Burnham, Colorado.
Four new modern, steel dining cars were delivered in June.
Three hundred new 50-ft. 50-ton automobile cars were placed in service during the summer.
