The railroads and other organizations listed here either owned locomotives that were subsequently acquired by the Denver & Rio Grande, or were acquired from the Denver & Rio Grande. In many cases, the rosters shown are not complete. Locomotives owned by other roads, e.g., the Colorado & Southern, that were never owned by the Rio Grande are not listed.

These rosters should be viewed as a "work in progress". As additional material and information becomes available, it will be added to the database and revised rosters will be produced. The tables are created using a Microsoft FoxPro program and database.
